Pool Rules

Member Responsibility

  • This always a Members Only Pool – Members are Always Welcome!
  • Supervising and enforcing the rules of the club
  • All members (homeowners, residence or renters) are responsible for the actions of their families and guests at the Strathmore Pool Club.
  • Members MUST be present with their guest(s) while at the Pool.
  • Members are NOT permitted to share their pool key with any non-members. Potential penalty being the deactivation of your pool key for the rest of the season.
  • Members between the ages of 14 – 17 may use the Pool without being accompanied by an adult and be responsible for only one guest aged 14 or older.
  • Members under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • PETS of any kind are NOT allowed at the Strathmore Pool Club.
  • The Strathmore Pool Club Entrance Gate must be kept closed. Do NOT prop open! This is a liability issue all members need to be sensitive to.
  • WALK…DON’T RUN around the “pool area”.
  • Fighting, roughhousing and all other potentially dangerous acts are strictly prohibited.
  • No diving into the pool.
  • No jumping onto any floating device from the pool perimeter.
  • FOOD is allowed in the “Overhang Area” and the “Recreation Area” – NOT in the “pool area”.
  • Alcohol is allowed for persons over the age of 21. Glass containers are prohibited
  • NO SMOKING of any kind is allowed on the premises of the Strathmore Pool Club. Smoking will lead to the forfeiture of your pool access for the remainder of the season.
  • No Skinny Dipping – swimsuits are required at all times.
  • The access walkway from the street gate to the pool area must kept clear at all times.
  • Showers are recommended before entering the pool.
  • Babies/Toddlers MUST wear a swim diaper or rubber pants as mandated by the County of Santa Clara Health Department.
  • Persons with contagious diseases or open wounds may not enter the pool.
  • No electrical appliances allowed near the pool
  • No open fires/flames.
  • Personal Propane BBQ’s are allowed.
  • No charcoal BBQ’s are allowed

Parties

  • All parties must be reserved in advance.
  • Party Reservations must be submitted via the website form for timestamp and prioritization.
  • All parties are first come, first served. Email confirmation will follow.
  • Parties cannot be booked on observed holidays (Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
  • Party confirmation will show on the Strathmore Pool Club website calendar.
  • No Party is Private – meaning other members may use the pool as well.
  • Your Party Reservation guarantees you use of the “Overhang Area” as well as the tables.
  • Onsite Collection Bins are not to be used for Parties. Parties must bring their own garbage bags and remove garbage upon conclusion of their event.
  • Party Size shall not exceed 40 guests.
  • Parties for children under the age of 18 require 1 adult for every 10 children.

Membership

  • Membership applies to the 96 Strathmore community homes designated by the Declaration of Covenants, Codes and Restrictions on file with the County of Santa Clara.
  • Annual Dues (HOA) are invoiced once a year.
  • Late Payment of Annual Dues are subject to a $25/Month Late Fee.
  • Annual Dues are established by the Strathmore Pool Club Board Officers.
  • Non-payment of Annual Dues will cause forfeiture of Strathmore Pool Club privileges and placement of a LIEN on your property.
  • Pool privileges MAY BE DENIED to any Strathmore Pool Club member or guest in violation of the Strathmore Pool Club Rules
  • Violation of Strathmore Pool Club Rules could result in termination of access to the pool for the rest of the season or longer.
  • Grievance’s relating to the enforcement of Strathmore Pool Club Rules should be reported to the president or any of the board members.
  • Strathmore Pool Club Defined Areas
  • “Pool Area” consists of the pool and the concrete deck surrounding the pool.
  • “Recreation Area” consists of the grassy area and Ping Pong Table.
  • “Bathroom Area” consists of the restroom, changing area and showers.
  • “Overhang Area” consists of the area underneath the overhang attached to the “Bathroom Area” including the tables.

Addition of New Homes

The Strathmore Pool Club was incorporated solely to be a resource for the community of originally built member homes. The Pool and its supporting resources are not able to scale beyond that scope. For these reasons, we are not considering membership beyond the original homes.
